Penny's gamba chorus backs the opening lyric of this mildly sarcastic take on humanity's likely-to-be-missed opportunity to save itself (from itself). And then, suddenly, a breezy groove fills the air while our messenger further describes the dire situation we find ourselves in. Along the way, sax, guitar, and chromatic harmonica features sweeten the gloom (does a spoonful of sugar really help the medicine go down?).
